Bad Breath – Be Kind
It is terrible to be in a close conversation with someone and suddenly become aware the person horrible bad breath smell. You can almost feel nauseous to continue the conversation and it is almost impossible not to make a facial expression that communicates disgust. The putrid smell arouses almost involuntary responses. The situation is very difficult to treat and many people simply want out of the offensive smell as quickly as possible. The bad breath is particularly bad for others to deal with, but it is important that is treated at all levels both personally and as a friend, a parent(relative) or colleague of a person with problem. What can be done about bad breath? First, each person has the responsibility to take care of their teeth and make good oral hygiene to help prevent bad breath. It is a courtesy to ensure that others do not have to suffer with a person’s laziness and lack of personal care. People who know they have a problem with failing breath should recognize the reality and take responsibility for the problem to the best of their ability. If they can not settle the problem by themselves, they should seek the assistance of a professional dentist and doctor. When a person is confronted with speaking or to deal with another person who has bad breath, it is important to put right the situation rather than run away. Sometimes a person has a medical problem that causes bad breath and they are completely unaware of the smell that came out from their mouth. By saying to someone that they have bad breath, you actually can save their life. Although this may be a difficult conversation to address but it is important. A simple way to remedy the situation is to offer the person a piece of gum or fresh mint and telling them that they need to see a doctor to find out what cause the problem. Or a person may bring up the subject of bad breath and talk about its seriousness and then offers mints or gum. This should help most people understand that they have a problem. Some people will require a very direct statement by telling them they have smelly breath and the need to do something. All though this is a difficult thing to do, it is something that needs to be done. - bad-breath.answer-about.info |
